Het is feest op Euroborg! FC Groningen staat namelijk nog steeds boven aan in de eredivisie en daar zijn we heel trots op. Er werden deze week ook maar liefst 7 (!) feestjes gevierd op het stadion. Maandag was het feest want toen werd hoofdtrainer Ron Jans 50 jaar! Zondag wordt het weer een hele spannende dag. Ado Den Haag komt op bezoek en als onze mannen winnen dan staan we nog steeds nummer 1.
Dat FC Groningen boven aan de eredivisie staat is goed te merken in Groningen. De krant plaatste een overzicht van de teletekstpagina waar de stand op te zien is en iedereen is heel erg trots op onze jongens. Hoelang kunnen ze dit volhouden? Spannend hoor!
Deze week werden er 7 feestjes gevierd op het stadion. Rick Oldejans en Mark van Domburg, Noah Dussel, Wesley van der Laan en Jordi de Boer gaven hun feestje op woensdag en Joá Spaak, Joris Reiziger en Maud Boonstra vieren vandaag hun feestje. Nog van harte gefeliciteerd allemaal!
Afgelopen maandag werd Ron Jans 50 jaar. Wist je dat hij vroeger zelf ook voetballer was? Ron heeft vroeger o.a. bij PEC Zwolle en Mazda Sport (Japan) gespeeld, maar hij werd vooral bekend als speler van FC Groningen. Hij scoorde namelijk in 1983 een tweetal belangrijke goals. Op 23 januari 1983 tijdens de competitiewedstrijd tegen Ajax maakte hij in de slotseconden de gelijkmaker (5-5), nadat Groningen een paar minuten daarvoor nog met 5-3 achterstond. En in de UEFA Cup-wedstrijd tegen Atlético Madrid scoorde Jans één van de drie Groningse doelpunten. Na zijn spelerscarrière werd Ron leraar Duits op een middelbare school, maar in 2002 werd hij hoofdtrainer bij de FC en daar zijn we maar wat blij mee!
Komende zondag speelt FC Groningen weer thuis. Ado Den Haag is dan de tegenstander. Ado staat op dit moment op de 5de plek in de competitie en heeft 7 punten uit 4 gespeelde wedstrijden. Uiteraard lopen er zondag weer 11 Junior Clubleden mee met hun helden het veld op en zijn er leden uitgenodigd voor de referee-escort, shoot-out en het wedstrijdbezoek. Tot zondag allemaal!
