Andreas Granqvist is niet inzetbaar in de thuiswedstrijd tegen Roda JC van aanstaande zondagmiddag. De Zweed kreeg afgelopen zaterdag zijn zevende gele kaart van het seizoen.
Granqvist nam overigens een gele kaart mee uit de laatste reguliere speelronde van het seizoen 2008/2009 toen Groningen thuis speelde tegen NAC. Dit seizoen kreeg de verdediger gele kaarten tegen Willem II (uit), Vitesse (thuis), Heracles (thuis) en RKC (uit) waarna hij al een duel ontbrak.
Uit bij Sparta kreeg Granqvist opnieuw een gele kaart en stond hij opnieuw op scherp. Negen keer lukte het hem zonder kaart van het veld te stappen, maar een overtreding in de uitwedstrijd tegen NAC Breda kostte hem opnieuw een wedstrijd schorsing.
Komende zondag keert Leandro Bacuna terug van een schorsing. Gibril Sankoh (6), Koen van de Laak (4) en Mike Zonneveld (4) staan op scherp in de thuiswedstrijd tegen Roda JC, waarin Anouar Hadouir aan de kant van de Limburgers ontbreekt. Hadouir kreeg afgelopen zaterdag de rode kaart en is vier duels geschorst.
