Afgelopen donderdagavond werd de traditionle Gouden Gehaktbal door clinicorganisator Egge Knol uitgereikt. De jaarlijkse beloning voor de lekkerste bal na afloop van een clinic ging naar Amateurconvenantpartner Onstwedder Boys.
Juryvoorzitter Egge Knol: “Zelden zo’n lekkere bal gegeten. Vorm en structuur goed en top gekruid.”
Hooghouden Secretaris Klaas Dirk Hilgenga van de amateurvereniging verwees door naar dorpsslager Johnny Hemmen, die de gehaktballen in de Onstwedder kantine van levert: “Johnny heeft een naam hoog te houden als het gaat om kwaliteit.” Aan de Gouden Bal om in de kantine te hangen en een bos bloemen zijn ook nog twee VIP-kaarten voor bezoek aan een thuiswedstrijd van FC Groningen gekoppeld. Palmares Onstwedder Boys wordt toegevoegd aan een illuster rijtje voorgangers met onder meer VV Grijpskerk, vv Actief, GOMOS, VV Siddeburen, VV Musselkanaal, VV Gieten en VV LEO.
