Dinsdagavond heeft VV Musselkanaal de Gouden Bal in ontvangst genomen. De Gouden Bal wordt jaarlijks uitgereikt aan de amateurclub die een FC Groningen-clinic organiseert en na afloop van de jeugdclinic aan de FC Groningen-coaches de lekkerste gehaktbal serveert.
In 2013 werd VV Musselkanaal door clinicorganisator Egge Knol verkozen tot de club met de meest smaakvolle gehaktbal. Knol: “De gehaktbal van VV Musselkanaal is vol van smaak en lekker kruidig. Precies zoals een gehaktbal moet zijn. Ik geef de bal een 8,5. Zo’n cijfer is bijzonder hoor.”
VV Musselkanaal ontvang uit handen van Knol de Gouden Bal, die een mooi plekje kreeg in de kantine van VV Musselkanaal, en een VIP-arrangement voor een thuiswedstrijd van FC Groningen.
