De skybox van FC Groningen in het Martini Ziekenhuis was donderdagavond de ideale locatie voor een forumdiscussie over de gelijkenissen tussen leidinggeven aan een voetbalteam en het managen van een ziekenhuisafdeling.
In beide beroepsvelden komen vragen aan bod als: hoe formuleer je doelen waarin iedereen zich kan vinden, hoe kunnen prestaties worden versterkt en wat kan een individu daaraan bijdragen?
Om een antwoord op deze vragen vanuit de voetbalwereld te geven, waren FC Groningen-trainer Ron Jans, consulent teamontwikkeling René Felen en Gertjan Verbeek, voormalig trainer van onder meer sc Heerenveen en Feyenoord aangeschoven.
Een uur lang gingen leidinggevenden van het Martini Ziekenhuis met de drie forumleden in discussie over hun wijze van spelers motiveren, het formuleren van doelstellingen en het ontwijken van valkuilen. Het leverde interessante discussies, leuke anekdotes en een reeks nieuwe inzichten op.
