Afgelopen zondag vertrokken er twee bussen met zo’n negentig Junior Club leden en familie naar de wedstrijd PSV – FC Groningen. Iets later dan gepland, rond 10.50 uur vertrokken de bussen naar Eindhoven. Vol goede moed, enthousiasme en ook een beetje spanning werd begonnen aan de busreis die ongeveer drie uur zou duren.
De FanTour reizigers namen, eenmaal aangekomen in het Philips stadion in Eindhoven, plaats in het uitvak. Daarnaast waren er ook nog elf leden die samen met hun familie met eigen vervoer naar Eindhoven waren afgereisd. Zij mochten deelnemen aan de line-up en hand-in-hand met een speler het veld oplopen voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd.
De bezoekers zagen een scherp FC Groningen; in het begin van de wedstrijd kwam de FC enkele keren dreigend voor het doel van PSV. Er ontstonden kleine kansjes, maar helaas werd er geen één raak geschoten.
PSV wist na elf minuten wel te scoren. Groningen moest wat terug doen en dat lukte uiteindelijk in de 43ste minuut. Botteghin wist de stand gelijk te trekken door de 1-1- binnen te koppen.
Helaas wist PSV in de tweede helft nog een doelpunt te maken en FC Groningen niet. 2-1 was de uitslag en dus gingen de Junior Club leden teleurgesteld naar huis.
Komende zondag, 22 maart, speelt FC Groningen een thuiswedstrijd tegen FC Twente. Het duel start om 14:30 uur.
De Junior Club leden die aan de hand van een speler het veld op mochten lopen waren: Tim Lugies, Pascal Wolf, Youri Mattijn Bos, Jeffrey van der Veen, Roan Drent, Lucas Brust, Jasper Eerelman, Wouter Eerelman, Robin Kiers en Maarten Hilgen.
