FC Groningen TV duikt in het kader van 40 jaar FC Groningen vanavond veel in het verleden van de club. Archivaris Jos Leuvenkamp kijkt terug op de allereerste Europacupduels van de FC tegen Atletico Madrid.
Op 14 september verloor FC Groningen in Estadio Vicente Calderon met 2-1, veertien dagen later werden de Madrilenen in eenn kolkend Oosterparkstadion met 3-0 verslagen en bereikte FC Groningen zeer verrassend de volgende ronde van de UEFA-Cup.
Melchior Schoenmakers speelde tussen 1997 en 2004 maar liefst 191 wedstrijden voor FC Groningen. Schoenmakers degradeerde met de FC in 1998 maar promoveerde alweer in 2000 en vierde dat met 10.000 supporters op de Grote Markt. Vanavond zien we hoe het nu gaat met de ex-verdediger.
Seizoenkaarthouders van FC Groningen kunnen nog steeds stemmen op namen voor zowel de Noord- als de Zuidtribune. Er kan een keuze gemaakt worden uit: Tonny van Leeuwen, Jan van Dijk, Erik Nevland, Arjen Robben en de Koeman Tribune, verwijzend naar Martin, Erwin en Ronald Koeman. Stemmen kan nog tot donderdag 20 oktober om 12.00 uur. In FCG TV komen de genomineerden nog een keer voorbij.
Zaterdagavond hervat FC Groningen de competitie met een uitwedstrijd tegen Heracles Almelo. FC Groningen de trainde deze gehele week op kunstgras om alvast te wennen aan de ondergrond van zaterdagavond. In de voorbeschouwing laten de internationals Leandro Bacuna, Johan Kappelhof en Tim Sparv weten wat zij van het duel in Almelo verwachten.
En alvast een aankondiging voor volgende week. Afgelopen woensdag was FC Groningen TV aanwezig bij de eerste Talentendag van de FC. Komende dinsdag een impressie van de dag bij Eems Boys in Delfzijl.
Let op: FC Groningen TV wordt vanaf vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 2! De herhaling op EL 2 is te zien om 20.00 uur en om 22.00 uur. Zaterdagavond is FC Groningen TV te zien om 19.05 op Eredivisie Live 3, voorafgaande aan Heracles Almelo – FC Groningen.
