FC Groningen speelt vanavond om 19.00 uur in Siddeburen de tweede wedstrijd in de oefencampagne van het seizoen 2012/2013. Tegenstander is een Regioteam Supportersvereniging Siddeburen met daarin een groot aandeel voor VV Siddeburen.
Op Sportpark Ewensborg openen de poorten vanavond om 18.00 uur. Kaarten voor volwassenen kosten 9 euro. Jeugd tot en met 12 betaalt 5 euro om de FC aan het werk te zien tegen de lokale helden.
Bij FC Groningen ontbreken nog altijd Matias Jones (blindedarm) en Luciano da Silva (hamstring). Lorenzo Burnet zal wel zijn opwachting maken. Hij speelt net als 21 ploeggenoten precies 45 minuten. Na Kees Kwakman en Jonas Ivens zullen Johan Kappelhof en Emil Johansson vanavond de aanvoerdersband elk een helft om hebben.
Afgelopen zaterdag won FC Groningen in Warffum met 16-0 van RWE Eemsmond. Komende zaterdag zullen de internationals met onder meer Genero Zeefuik naar verwachting hun eerste speelminuten gaan maken tegen Kickers Emden. Op woensdag 11 juli volgt voor de ploeg van Robert Maaskant in Emmen een vierde wedstrijd tegen amateurs als DZOH de tegenstander is.
