Gisteren speelde FC Groningen in een uitverkocht Euroborg een wedstrijd tegen Aberdeen FC.
Aberdeen wist in de eerste helft tweemaal snel achter elkaar te scoren. Maikel Kieftenbeld maakte vlak voor rust nog een doelpunt voor FC Groningen. Hij bepaalde daarmee de eindstand, want na 90 minuten spelen stond dezelfde stand nog op het scorebord. Helaas betekent dit dat FC Groningen is uitgeschekeld in de Europa League. Aberdeen FC gaat een ronde verder en speelt donderdag een wedstrijd tegen Real Sociedad.
22 Junior Club leden mochten voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd met de spelers het veld oplopen.
