FC Groningen staat het niet toe anti-Ajax uitingen rond de competitiewedstrijd van zaterdag te dragen. Hierop zal worden toegezien bij de toegang tot de bussen richting de Amsterdam ArenA, waar overigens een rookverbod geldt.
FC Groningen wil er zaterdagavond tegen Ajax een mooie voetbalavond van maken en vindt het niet gepast dat de eigen supporters anti-Ajax uitingen dragen. De club kreeg signalen in die richting en vond het noodzakelijk hierop te anticiperen en een standpunt in te nemen. Besloten is om alle anti-Ajax uitingen te weren en daarop toe te zien bij het vertrek van de bussen. Rookverbod Ajax en de Amsterdam ArenA volgen de wetgeving en stimuleren een rookvrije omgeving. Dit betekent dat direct vanaf het nieuwe voetbalseizoen het gehele terrein van de Amsterdam ArenA, bij alle sportevenementen, waaronder alle voetbalwedstrijden, rookvrij gebied zal zijn. Dus ook als wordt gevoetbald met het dak open, mag er nergens worden gerookt. Het verbod geldt vanaf de ingangen van de Amsterdam ArenA.
