De uitzending van FC Groningen TV van vandaag staat voor een groot deel in het teken van de afgelopen woensdag overleden Martin Koeman. Daarnaast is er een terugblik op het bekerduel met NEC en kijkt Mark-Jan Fledderus terug op het laatste competitiedoelpunt in het Oosterparkstadion, gemaakt tegen NEC.
Afgelopen woensdag overleed Martin Koeman op 75-jarige leeftijd. FCG TV kijkt terug op de carrière van de clubicoon van de FC. Zo zijn er beelden te zien van de 3-0 overwinning van GVAV in 1964 op het grote Feyenoord. Koeman was in dat duel de maker van de 3-0. In 1966 behaalde Koeman met GVAV een legendarische 1-0 overwinning in Amsterdam op Ajax. Later werd Koeman trainer en hield hij zich ook bezig met de jeugdopleiding van FC Groningen.
In oktober 2011 werd als eerbetoon aan hem en zijn zoons Erwin en Ronald de familie-tribune van Euroborg omgedoopt tot Koeman-tribune. In augustus dit jaar werd Koeman nog in Euroborg gehuldigd voor zijn 75e verjaardag en de 50 jaar dat hij werkzaam was voor de FC. Aan FCG TV liet hij toen weten dat hij zich nog bijna elke dag vol overgave inzette voor zijn FC Groningen.
Donderdagavond werd FC Groningen in Euroborg in de achtste finale van de KNVB-Beker uitgeschakeld door NEC. De 1-0 nederlaag kwam hard aan bij de spelersgroep want FC Groningen kreeg voldoende kansen op een positief resultaat. In FCG TV is een samenvatting van het duel te zien met reacties van Essent Man of the Match Marco Bizot en Michael de Leeuw.
Komende zondag sluit FC Groningen het kalenderjaar 2013 af met, opnieuw, een thuiswedstrijd tegen NEC. Iets meer dan acht jaar geleden, op 18 december 2005, speelde FC Groningen tegen NEC de laatste competitiewedstrijd in het Stadion Oosterpark. FC Groningen won met 3-0 en Mark-Jan Fledderus was de maker van het laatste Eredivisiedoelpunt. FCG TV kijkt met hem terug op dat moment.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 17.00 uur en 23.30 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1. FCG TV wordt herhaald om 18.00 uur en 21.55 uur op kanaal 3 en om 19.00 en 21.00 uur op kanaal 5. Zaterdag is FCG TV te zien om 16.10 uur op kanaal 1 van Fox Sports Eredivisie.
De afleveringen van FC Groningen TV zijn elke zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV, de lokale omroep van Groningen. De uitzendingen beginnen om 15.30 uur en zijn in een carrousel terug te zien tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
