Tomas Suslov was afgelopen weekend de derde basisdebutant van dit seizoen opgeleid door FC Groningen. De club is trots op haar Opleiding, de jongens die doorbreken, maar ook de voetballers die het net niet halen om het eerste elftal te halen. De Opleiding geeft de spelers de mogelijkheid om te groeien, groter te worden. Hoofd Opleiding Peter Jeltema gaat in onderstaande video in op de werkwijze binnen de Opleiding en wat jeugdspelers doen om hun doelen na te jagen.
De Opleiding werkt met drie leerlijnen; presteren als voetballer, bewegen als atleet en leven als topsporter. “Al die componenten bij elkaar zorgen ervoor dat je je als talent kunt ontwikkelen en de allerbeste spelers uiteindelijk bovendrijven,” aldus Jeltema. “Die hebben een breder palet dan alleen tegen een voetbal schieten.”
De Opleiding van FC Groningen zorgt voor een stevige basis op weg naar een succesvolle toekomst. Voor velen op het voetbalveld in het shirt van FC Groningen, voor anderen in een maatschappelijke carrière.
