Afgelopen maand hebben clubs die zijn aangesloten bij het Amateurconvenant de mogelijkheid gekregen deel te nemen aan het Nederlagentoernooi van FC Groningen. Deze actie is met veel enthousiasme ontvangen en binnen enkele dagen was het wedstrijdschema compleet.
Het schema ziet er voor RVO FC Groningen/Cambuur A1 als volgt uit: Dinsdag 4 september 2012: Rood Zwart Baflo Dinsdag 2 oktober 2012: Viboa Dinsdag 6 november 2012: v.v. Musselkanaal Dinsdag 4 december 2012: Achilles 1894 Dinsdag 5 februari 2013: HZVV Dinsdag 5 maart 2013: v.v. Valthermond Dinsdag 19 maart 2013: v.v. Gieten Dinsdag 2 april 2013: OKVC
De ploeg met het beste resultaat tegen het vlaggenschip van de jeugdopleiding wordt uitgenodigd voor een competitiewedstrijd van het eerste elftal in Euroborg. Ook wint de betreffende vereniging een voetbalclinic voor haar eigen jeugdleden. Alle deelnemers ontvangen bovendien de ‘Meer dan voetbal’-bal voor de bijdrage aan de Stichting FC Groningen in de Maatschappij. Nieuwe partners De afgelopen twee maanden zijn maar liefst zeven nieuwe clubs partner geworden van het Amateurconvenant FC Groningen. Het betreft GSVV The Knickerbockers, CSVH, vv SPW, KZC’08, DZOH, HZVV en Fit Boys. In het vervolg ontvangen deze clubs, samen met de meer dan 160 andere aangesloten amateurverenigingen, nieuwsbrieven en acties die uitgezet worden.
In de nieuwsbrief van september wordt bekend gemaakt welke wedstrijden in het aankomende seizoen in Euroborg tegen een gereduceerd groepstarief bezocht kunnen worden door leden van aangesloten amateurclubs. Ook zal eind september de Amateurgids uitkomen. Deze presentatiegids zit boordevol wetenswaardigheden over de aangesloten verenigingen.
