FC Groningen en Robey lanceren nieuwe wedstrijdshirts.

FC Groningen en nieuwe sportkledingpartner Robey Sportswear hebben donderdag 1 juli de nieuwe wedstrijdshirts gelanceerd. De shirts voor het seizoen 2021/2022 zijn vanaf heden verkrijgbaar in de Fanshop en via de webshop. Het aantal beschikbare shirts voor verkoop is momenteel nog beperkt.
Het thuisshirt heeft de karakteristieke groene banen terwijl het tricot voor uitwedstrijden een donkerpaarse kleur heeft. Beide shirts zijn voorzien van het jubileumlogo. Dit stijlvolle logo is speciaal voor het 50-jarige jubileum van FC Groningen ontworpen door supporter Thijs van den Broek. Robey keert voor de derde keer in de clubgeschiedenis terug als sportkledingpartner van FC Groningen.
Gouden elementen Beide shirts zijn uniek mede vanwege gouden elementen die verwijzen naar het jubileum van de Trots van het Noorden. Op het thuisshirt zijn zowel het jubileumlogo als het logo van kledingpartner Robey in goud afgedrukt. Op het uitshirt is ook de uiting van hoofdsponsor Office Centre en rugsponsor Payt in het goud. De rugsponsor heeft het contract met een seizoen verlengd. Onderaan keert de spelersnaam voor dit speciale jubileumseizoen terug op de achterzijde van het shirt. De spelersnamen zijn op de thuisshirts afgedrukt in het zwart, op het uittenue zijn deze gedrukt in het goud.
Mede vanwege transportproblemen onder meer te wijten aan de regelgeving rondom de coronapandemie heeft FC Groningen de shirts momenteel slechts in een beperkte oplage verkrijgbaar. Er zijn ongeveer 300 thuisshirts en 700 uitshirts te koop in zowel de Fanshop als online in de webshop te koop.
Fanshop Als de shirts uitverkocht raken, gaat de club over op een pre-order. Supporters die een wedstrijdshirt bestellen via een pre-order en daarnaast ook nog andere producten uit de webshop aanschaffen, krijgen de gehele bestelling pas geleverd als het shirt kan worden verstuurd. FC Groningen verwacht de volgende lading shirts medio begin augustus binnen te hebben. De FC Groningen Fanshop is geopend van dinsdag tot en met vrijdag van 09.00 uur tot 17.00 uur.
