Komende zondag zullen ná de wedstrijd FC Groningen-FC Twente flyers worden uitgedeeld voor het wervan van nieuwe donarteurs voor de Voedselbank.
De afgelopen acht weken was op RTL4 het programma ‘De Frogers: effe geen cent te makken’ te zien. René en Natasja Froger, en hun twee zonen Maxim (13) en Didier (11) leefden een maand lang op bijstandsniveau in een programma dat draait om aandacht te genereren voor De Voedselbank.
Afgelopen donderdag, 11 december, werd de reeks afgesloten met een grote live benefietuitzending op RTL4, gepresenteerd door Linda de Mol. Het doel hiervan was om zoveel mogelijk fondsen en donateurs te werven voor de Voedselbank.
Kew Jaliens (AZ) en Dennis Gentenaar (Ajax) waren tijdens de uitzending aanwezig om de actie namens hun club en de Eredivisie te ondersteunen en nogmaals de aandacht te vestigen op de verspreiding van de machtigingskaarten in de stadions komend weekend. Bovendien boden tijdens de live uitzending diverse clubs spontaan hun steun aan.
Onderdeel van de benefiet was ook een veiling. Gezamenlijk zijn alle negen speelballen van speelronde 14, gesigneerd door beide aanvoerders en trainers, hiervoor ter beschikking gesteld. Bovendien stelden alle achttien clubs een shirt beschikbaar, gesigneerd door de voltallige selectie. Op deze manier is 6.400 euro bijgedragen.
