Mo El Hankouri is vanmiddag te gast bij de Warming-up. De show is vanaf 16.00 uur te zien op het YouTube-kanaal van FC Groningen. Met de vleugelspeler wordt vanuit de Word Groter Studio in Euroborg onder meer vooruitgeblikt op het duel van zaterdagavond met Feyenoord.
El Hankouri doorliep de opleiding van de Rotterdamse topclub en debuteerde in het betaalde voetbal voor Feyenoord in de Kuip. De vleugelspeler speelt sinds de winter van 2019 voor FC Groningen en kan in Rotterdam zijn 99ste wedstrijd voor de Trots van het Noorden spelen.
El Hankouri gaf enkele weken geleden aan dat zijn voetbaltoekomst niet in Groningen ligt. De Marokkaanse jeugdinternational is derhalve bezig aan zijn laatste maanden bij de Trots van het Noorden. El Hankouri ontwikkelde zich bij de FC tot een Eredivisiewaardige speler en belangrijke schakel binnen het elftal. In de show kijkt El Hankouri vooruit op het duel met de club uit zijn jeugd en terug op de moeilijke beslissing om de FC te gaan verlaten.
Met het afschaffen van de coronaregelgeving is het weer mogelijk om meer dan één gast uit te nodigen in de Word Groter Studio. Naast El Hankouri schuift ook Maarten Siepel aan. Siepel is presentator van de populaire supporterspodcast Kon Veel Minder de Podcast en presentator van de Word Groter Podcast. Daarnaast is Siepel interviewer bij het contentproject de ‘Aanpakkers’. Met Kon Veel Minder de Podcast won Siepel samen met zijn collega podcastmakers de Voetbalpodcast Award gewonnen in de categorie 'Beste Fan Podcast (Eredivisie).'
Vanzelfsprekend gaan voormalig FC’er Kurt Elshot en voorzitter van de Supportersvereniging John de Jonge verder met de battle. Beide mannen pakten vorige week de volle buit door goed te voorspellen. Elshot heeft daarmee nog steeds een voorsprong op De Jonge. Wat verwacht het duo van de wedstrijd in De Kuip?
