FC Groningen hervat na de winterstop morgenavond, zaterdag 19 januari, de competitie met een thuiswedstrijd tegen Heracles Almelo. En dus pakt FC Groningen TV vanavond om 18.15 uur op FOX Sports de draad weer op met een reguliere uitzending.
FC Groningen TV heeft vanavond ruime aandacht voor de nieuwe spelers die de afgelopen week de selectie van FC Groningen kwamen versterken. Zo was FCG TV bij de nieuwjaarsreceptie van afgelopen maandag waar algemeen directeur Hans Nijland de komst van de Japanner Ko Itakura bekend maakte. Twee dagen later werd Itakura aan de pers gepresenteerd, samen met Mo El Hankouri en Paul Gladon. FCG TV spreekt met El Hankouri en Gladon over hun overgang naar FC Groningen en laat manager technische zaken Ron Jans aan het woord over de drie versterkingen.
Eerder werden Iliass Bel Hassani en Thomas Bruns al toegevoegd aan de groep van trainer Danny Buijs. Zaterdagavond treffen zij Heracles Almelo, de ploeg waar ze eerder samen speelden. FCG TV kijkt vanavond met beide vooruit naar de ontmoeting met hun oude ploeg. Daarnaast is er een gesprek met Sander van Gessel die als assistent-trainer is toegevoegd aan de begeleidingsstaf van de eerste selectie van FC Groningen.
