Afgelopen week zijn eindgesprekken gevoerd met de 21 spelers van FC Groningen A1 over hun toekomst bij FC Groningen. Tien spelers blijven volgend jaar in het hoogste jeugdteam van de Trots van het Noorden. Van zes spelers wordt afscheid genomen. Met vier tweedejaars A-junioren komt nog een vervolggesprek over hun mogelijke toekomst bij Jong FC Groningen.
Met keeper Wieger Sietsma, Glenn Bijl, Desevio Payne en Jafar Arias worden vervolggesprekken gevoerd.
Roland Baas, Keziah Veendorp, Willem Gootjes, Kasper Oldenburger, Daro Faraj, Niels Stenekes, Youri Schuur, Gijs Jasper, Jim de Leeuw, Pier Veldman en Sadik Spijodic zullen ook volgend seizoen in principe uitkomen voor FC Groningen A1.
Van Robin Geertsma, Thijs Gerlofs, Tolgahan Cicek, Liban Abdulahi, Jorran van Santen en Reinier de Groene wordt na dit seizoen afscheid genomen.
