‘Dromen van Euroborg’ is een vierdelige serie waarin FC Groningen onder-18 een heel seizoen wordt gevolgd. Het eerste deel van de serie is vanaf vandaag terug te kijken op YouTube. Tijdens de aflevering staat aanvoerder Jorg Schreuders centraal en wordt gekeken naar het smeden van team. Het eerste deel van de serie was eerder deze week te zien op ESPN.
De serie ‘Dromen van Euroborg’ geeft een unieke inkijk achter de schermen bij het seizoen van FC Groningen onder-18. Het op één na oudste jeugdteam in de Opleiding van de Trots van Noorden staat onder leiding van trainer/coach Paul Matthijs, die als voormalig profspeler meer dan 300 officiële wedstrijden speelde voor FC Groningen en jarenlang aanvoerder was van het eerste elftal van de club.
In de aanloop van een nieuw voetbalseizoen moet Matthijs in korte tijd een team smeden van zijn selectie. Een belangrijke rol is hierin ook weggelegd voor aanvoerder Jorg Scheuders. De kijker maakt in het eerste deel van de serie kennis met de middenvelder die iedere dag keihard werkt om een stap dichter bij zijn droom te komen.
Het eerste deel waarin aanvoerder Jorg Schreuders wordt gevolgd is vandaag – donderdag 7 oktober – ook te vinden op het YouTube-kanaal van FC Groningen of te zien via onderstaande videoplayer.
Komende zaterdag komt de video waarin nieuweling Brian Jahren zich voorstelt op YouTube. Jahren wordt intensief gevolgd tijdens de eerste weken van de Noorse jeugdinternational in Groningen. De Noorse aanvaller kwam deze zomer over van SK Brann uit zijn thuisland.
