Jong FC Groningen speelt vanavond, donderdag 21 januari, de thuiswedstrijd tegen koploper Jong Ajax bij Achilles 1894 in Assen. Het is een duel tussen ploegen van Erwin van de Looi en Pieter Huistra, het toekomstige trainersduo van de FC. Aanvang is 18.30 uur.
Het duel werd eerder afgelast op donderdag 14 december. Gekochte kaarten voor dat duel blijven uiteraard geldig. De kassa’s openen vanavond om 17.30 uur.
Jong Ajax staat na de zege van afgelopen maandag tegen Sparta – de zesde op rij – bovenaan in de Beloften Eredivisie en heeft 27 punten uit 13 gespeelde duels. Jong FC Groningen speelde 10 december 2009 voor het laatst en won toen van Jong Heerenveen/Emmen. De FC staat negende op de ranglijst met 20 punten uit 13 wedstrijden.
