Voor diverse elftallen van FC Groningen verliep het afgelopen weekend naar tevredenheid. Zowel het eerste elftal als de Beloften en de A1 wisten te winnen. FC Groningen TV kijkt terug op een geslaagde week van de Trots van het Noorden.
Het elftal van Robert Maaskant pakte vrijdag de eerste overwinning van het seizoen door ADO Den Haag met 1-0 te verslaan. Matchwinner was Tim Sparv die komende vrijdag met de nationale ploeg van Finland een WK-kwalificatiewedstrijd speelt tegen Frankrijk. Sloveens international Andraz Kirm maakte in de tweede helft zijn debuut voor de FC. Volgens Maaskant liet de aanvaller al zien dat hij de nodige ervaring met zich meebrengt.
RVO FC Groningen/Cambuur A1 behaalde zaterdag een klinkende zege op Ajax A1. Dankzij drie doelpunten van spits Arjen Hagenauw werd Ajax met 3-0 verslagen. Het was voor het eerst dat FC Groningen A1 de nul wist te houden tegen de Amsterdammers. Dat was mede te danken aan centrale verdediger Marciano van Leyenhorst die met Hans Hateboer achterin voor Ajax een onneembare vesting vormde.
De Beloften van FC Groningen staan dankzij een 2-1 overwinning op Jong De Graafschap met één been in de Eredivisie. Zonder Tim Keurntjes, die is verhuurd aan SC Cambuur Leeuwarden, speelde Jong FC Groningen een moeizame wedstrijd. Maar dankzij twee doelpunten van David Texeira ging de ploeg van trainer Dick Lukkien toch met de drie punten naar huis.
Vorige week bracht Emil Johansson een bezoek aan het Abe Lenstra Stadion in Heerenveen. Niet om bij het sluiten van de transfermarkt een overgang naar sc Heerenveen te bespreken, maar om zijn oude ploeg Molde FK te zien trainen. Molde schakelde donderdag Heerenveen uit in de Europa League en dat was misschien wel mede te danken aan het bezoek van hun oud-ploeggenoot Johansson. Trainer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer en Daniel Hestad van Molde waren blij verrast om Johansson weer te zien en te spreken. Ook de aanwezige Noorse pers dook meteen op de voormalige linksback van Molde.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhaling is om 19.00 uur, 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur te zien op EL 2. Morgen, woensdag 5 september, wordt FCG TV om 8.30 uur en 13.15 uur herhaald op EL 1.
