FC Groningen TV beschouwt vanavond op FOX Sports uitgebreid voor op de noordelijke ontmoeting tegen FC Emmen. Daarnaast kijken oud-spelers Petter Andersson en Luciano da Silva terug op hun tijd bij FC Groningen.
Komende zondag komt FC Emmen op bezoek in Groningen. Het duel tussen de Groningers en de Drenten vindt voor het eerst op het hoogste niveau plaats. De teams speelden voor het laatst een officiële wedstrijd tegen elkaar in Groningen op 24 mei 2000. Toen won FC Groningen in de nacompetitie met 5-0 van FC Emmen en was Martin Drent de maker van één van de doelpunten. Samen met de oud-speler van zowel FC Groningen als FC Emmen kijkt FCG TV vooruit naar de wedstrijd van komende zondag.
Bij FC Emmen voetballen veel spelers die een verleden hebben bij FC Groningen. Ook trainer Dick Lukkien was eerder werkzaam bij FC Groningen. FCG TV zocht hem op in Emmen en sprak tevens met middenvelder Glenn Bijl die tot de zomer van 2017 twaalf jaar lang in het shirt van FC Groningen speelde. Zowel Lukkien als Bijl laten in FCG TV weten uit te kijken naar hun terugkeer in Groningen. Daarnaast is er ook een vooruitblik op FC Groningen – FC Emmen met FC Groningen-trainer Danny Buijs en Michael Breij die afgelopen zondag tegen VVV Venlo na lange afwezigheid zijn rentree maakte.
Bijna twee weken geleden waren veel oud-spelers van FC Groningen aanwezig bij de thuiswedstrijd tegen NAC Breda in het kader van 'De Helden van Weleer.' De avond voor die wedstrijd kwamen de oud-spelers uit het buitenland al samen in Paviljoen van de Dame voor een etentje. FCG TV was er bij en sprak bij de kerstboom met Petter Andersson en Luciano da Silva die terugkijken op met name het seizoen 2008-2009 van FC Groningen.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.15 uur uitgezonden op FOX Sports kanaal 1. De uitzending wordt vanavond om 18.45 uur, 23.15 uur en 1.00 uur herhaald op kanaal 3. Zaterdag is FCG TV te zien om 9.00 uur en 14.30 uur op kanaal 3 en zondag om 13.5 uur op kanaal 2, voorafgaande aan FC Groningen – FC Emmen.
