Florian Krüger is een van de twee nieuwe aanvallers die in de laatste week van het transferwindow werd gepresenteerd. Voor de Duitse spits is het zijn eerste avontuur in het buitenland. Tijd om zijn nieuwe leefomgeving en de stad eens goed te verkennen. In Groningen doet men dat natuurlijk op de fiets, al valt dat nog niet mee.
Krüger doet er alles aan om zich zo snel mogelijk aan te passen aan zijn nieuwe leefomgeving. Wie gemakkelijk zijn weg in de stad wil vinden, pakt bij voorkeur de fiets. Ook begon de 23-jarige spits al met Nederlandse lessen mede om zijn teamgenoten beter te leren begrijpen op en naast het veld.
Scoren in het groen-witte shirt deed Krüger– die veelvuldig trefzeker was in de 2. Bundesliga – nog niet. Hopelijk volgen vrijdagavond in Euroborg de eerste goals voor de Duitser. Een intikker, kopbal, schot op byciclekick? Met het fietsen zit het in ieder geval wel goed bij de aanvaller.
