FC Groningen TV was aanwezig bij het FC Groningen G-toernooi dat afgelopen woensdag werd gewonnen door SJS uit Stadskanaal. Daarnaast blikt FCG TV terug op de 2-1 oefenzege van FC Groningen op SV Meppen en is er een voorproefje te zien van de special '30 jaar na Madrid' die zaterdagmiddag wordt uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie.
Afgelopen woensdag vond in Glimmen voor de tiende keer het FC Groningen G-toernooi plaats. De tien deelnemende teams maakten er weer een mooi spektakel van en kregen daarbij hulp van spelers en trainers van FC Groningen. Zo had Johan Kappelhof met zijn ploeg ONR een speciale tactiek door een wedstrijd met drie man minder te spelen. Hij wist er de finale mee te halen die uiteindelijk met 1-0 werd gewonnen door SJS uit Stadskanaal. Het team van NOVO, met Tjaronn Chery, eindigde netjes als zesde.
Voorafgaande aan het G-toernooi oefende FC Groningen op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn tegen het Duitse SV Meppen. Na een 1-0 ruststand won de FC met 2-1 dankzij doelpunten van Chery en invaller Michael de Leeuw die blij was dat hij na afwezigheid tegen AZ door griep weer speelminuten kon maken. Voor Kasper Oldenburger was het ook een mooie dag. De eerstejaars A-junior hoorde dinsdag dat hij zich moest melden bij de eerste selectie en speelde meteen een groot deel van de wedstrijd.
Zaterdagmiddag wordt om 13.15 uur op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1 de special ’30 jaar na Madrid’ uitgezonden. In 45 minuten kijkt FC Groningen TV terug op de eerste legendarische Europese wedstrijden van de FC tegen Atletico Madrid en Inter Milaan. Aan het woord komen Rob McDonald, de maker van het eerste Europese doelpunt van FC Groningen, Walter Waalderbos, Ronald Steenge, Henk de Haan en Harry Schellekens. Zij hebben allen hun eigen herinneringen aan de onvergetelijke duels. Daarnaast vertellen FC Groningen supporters Nico Swart, Bas Dölle en Bas Kammenga over de het boek ‘De Europese Droom’ die medio november uitkomt en bol staat van de mooie herinneringen van supporters aan alle Europacupwedstrijden die FC Groningen tot nu toe speelde.
De reguliere uitzending van FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 17.00 uur en 22.15 uur uitgezonden op kanaal 1 van Fox Sports Eredivisie. De herhaling is te zien om 18.00 uur en 22.40 uur op kanaal 3 en om 19.00 uur op kanaal 5 van Fox Sports Eredivisie.
De special ’30 jaar na Madrid’ wordt zaterdag om 13.15 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1. De special wordt zaterdag om 21.45 uur en zondag om 16.25 uur herhaald op kanaal 1.
De afleveringen van FC Groningen TV zijn elke zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV, de lokale omroep van Groningen. De uitzendingen beginnen om 15.30 uur en zijn in een carrousel terug te zien tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
