Michael de Leeuw ontving in de thuiswedstrijd tegen NAC Breda zijn vijfde gele kaart van het seizoen 2013/2014. De aanvaller is hierdoor automatisch voor één officiële wedstrijd geschorst en mist hierdoor de uitwedstrijd van zondag tegen Roda JC Kerkrade.
Ook dit seizoen worden spelers na hun vijfde, zevende, negende en elfde gele kaart automatisch voor één duel geschorst. Maikel Kieftenbeld staat op zes boekingen. Rasmus Lindgren, Tjaronn Chery, Hans Hateboer, Eric Botteghin en Lorenzo Burnet ontvingen vier officiële waarschuwingen. Zij staan alle zes ‘op scherp’, zoals dat heet. Bij een volgende gele prent wacht dit zestal eveneens een automatische schorsing.
Stefano Magnasco en Yoëll van Nieff staan op zeven gele kaarten. Giliano Wijnaldum en Johan Kappelhof ontvingen er vijf, net als Michael de Leeuw. Andraz Kirm en Nick van der Velden staan op drie keer geel. Richairo Zivkovic, Tom Hiariej, Filip Kostic en Marco Bizot ontvingen allen twee gele prenten. De teller staat op één bij Género Zeefuik en Krisztian Adorjan. Meegenomen Gele kaarten, uitgereikt tijdens de laatste twee speelronden van de competitie en die niet leiden tot een automatische schorsing, worden meegenomen op de strafkaart voor het seizoen 2014/2015.
