FC Groningen participeert in het Meer en Beter Bewegen programma. Vanuit dit beweegprogramma wil de Trots van het Noorden samen met diverse andere topsportorganisaties en partners Noord-Nederland aanzetten om letterlijk in beweging te komen. De ‘Aanpakkers’ is één van de projecten waarbij de inspirerende waarde van topsport wordt ingezet richting een breed publiek. Zes talenten, onder wie middenvelder Daniël van Kaam worden een jaar lang gevolgd. Volg deze Aanpakkers en leer ze kennen nog voordat alle dromen werkelijkheid worden.
De deelnemende topsportorganisaties als FC Groningen, Donar, Lycurgus en Topsport Noord lanceerden in samenwerking met partners Gemeente en provincie Groningen, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Hanzehogeschool Groningen, Topsport Talentschool, Stichting Bea en Meer en Beter Bewegen halverwege januari het initiatief de ‘Aanpakkers’. Topsport inspireert en FC Groningen wil graag haar maatschappelijke rol pakken. Niet voor niets heeft de Trots van het Noorden de maatschappelijke ambitie uitgesproken om bewegingsarmoede in het verzorgingsgebied op te willen lossen.
Naast Van Kaam spelen roeister Louise Liemberg, basketballer Kjeld Zuidema, atlete Britt Weerman, volleyballer Markus Held en handbikester Melanie Helweg de hoofdrol in de documentairereeks. Per sporter worden zes minidocumentaires en veel andere content geproduceerd. De vorige afleveringen zijn hier terug te kijken.
Louise Liemberg
Louise Liemberg is doelbewust met haar sport bezig. De topsportmentaliteit heeft ze altijd wel gehad en is zich naar mate het roeien serieuzer werd verder ontwikkeld. Ze geniet van hard werken op het water en haalt er plezier uit. Louise heeft haar doelen goed voor ogen, ze wil naar de Olympische Spelen. Haar coach Rogier Blink roeide op de Olympische Spelen van 2008 en dus heeft ze een voorbeeld binnen handbereik. Blink weet wat een sporter ervoor over moet hebben om het maximale te halen en is hard voor zijn pupil. Hard en duidelijk, zodat Louise doelgericht kan trainen en vol blijft inzetten op verbeteren.
