Damil Dankerlui is vanmiddag te gast in de Word Groter Studio voor een nieuwe aflevering van FC Groningen de Warming-up. Met de verdediger wordt vooruitgeblikt op de uitwedstrijd tegen PEC Zwolle, zondagmiddag om 12.15 uur. De uitzending is vanmiddag (vrijdag) vanaf 16.00 uur te bekijken via het YouTube-kanaal van de FC.
Dankerlui is bezig aan zijn tweede seizoen in Groningen en kan in Zwolle zijn 48ste wedstrijd voor de club spelen. Dit seizoen kwam de rechtsback 17 keer in actie. Samen met de verdediger wordt vooruit gekeken naar de wedstrijd van zondag op bezoek bij PEC Zwolle. Voor het eerst sinds Sparta-uit op 17 oktober 2021 kan de Trots van het Noorden weer worden gesteund door een goed gevuld uitvak.
Dankerlui maakte bijna een jaar geleden zijn debuut als international van Suriname waarmee hij afgelopen zomer het internationale toernooi om de Gold Cup speelde. Hoe kijkt de back terug op dat avontuur en ziet hij de toekomst als international voor zijn land?
Naast het gesprek met de rechtsback gaat één van Dankerlui zijn voorgangers Kurt Elshot weer samen met John de Jonge voorspellen.Helaas zaten voormalig speler Elshot en voorzitter van de Supportersvereniging FC Groningen De Jonge ernaast met hun voorspellingen voor de thuiswedstrijd van vorige week tegen Fortuna Sittard.
