De eerste selectie van FC Groningen verblijft in het Spaanse Oliva om zich onder ideale omstandigheden op de tweede seizoenshelft voor te bereiden. Vandaag staan er opnieuw twee trainingen op het programma.
Dinsdagochtend vanaf 10.00 uur wordt er onder leiding van fysiektrainer Jan Arend Vredeveld onder meer een ‘shuttle run’-test afgewerkt door de 22 fitte leden van de selectie. Rasmus Lindgren en Luciano da Silva zijn beiden door een knieblessure niet inzetbaar. Dinsdagmiddag vangt de training aan om 15.30 uur.
Woensdag zal er door de selectie één keer getraind worden en is de middag vrij in te vullen groep. Op donderdag wordt vervolgens weer tweemaal getraind op het veld. Op vrijdagochtend staat de negende en laatste veldtraining op het programma, die in het teken zal staan van de tweede oefenwedstrijd.
NAC Breda is vrijdagmiddag de tweede tegenstander tijdens het trainingskamp. Het duel met de nummer 12 van de Eredivisie. Deze oefenwedstrijd begint om 14.30 uur. Op zaterdag zal het hele gezelschap weer terugvliegen van Valencia naar Schiphol. Een week later staat de uitwedstrijd met RKC Waalwijk op het programma.
