Vrijdagmiddag reist FC Groningen met een spelersgroep 24 spelers af naar Portugal. Uitsluitend het kwartet langdurig geblesseerden Sepp De Roover, Ondrej Svejdik, Petter Andersson en Jeffrey Rijsdijk gaat niet mee. Vanmiddag traint de groep nog één keer in Euroborg.
De spelers die voor de winterstop licht geblesseerd waren en in de afgelopen dagen getest zijn, gaan allemaal mee op het trainingskamp. Het gaat om Tim Sparv, Morten Nordstrand, Tom Hiariej en Koen van de Laak. Vanuit de Beloften sluit ook Danny Post aan.
Ook wordt er alles aan gedaan Oluwafemi Ajilore op tijd in Nederland te krijgen. Hij kreeg pas woensdag een geldig paspoort ter beschikking om vanuit Nigeria te kunnen terugreizen.
