In FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond teruggekeken op de 3-0 nederlaag van gisteravond tegen ADO Den Haag. De uitzending begint vanavond al om 18.00 uur op Eredivisie Live 2. Herhalingen zijn te zien om 20.00 uur en 22.00 uur, eveneens op EL2.
Henk Bos, die zijn debuut maakte in de basis, en Tim Sparv vertellen waarom het gisteravond niet lukte om een verlies af te wenden. Koen van de Laak was waarschijnlijk de enige speler van de FC die met een goed gevoel van het veld stapte. Hij viel tien minuten voor tijd in voor Leandro Bacuna en maakte daarmee na ruim één jaar en vier maanden zijn rentree op de Nederlandse voetbalvelden.
Zondag 1 april werd er een feestje gevierd in de Ebbingestraat in Groningen want die zondag bestond Balkanrestaurant Macedonië 30 jaar. Het restaurant van Bobi Mileski is door de jaren heen een plek geweest waar spelers van FC Groningen graag kwamen en nog steeds komen. In het verleden waren John de Wolf, Ulrich Wilson, Dejan Curovic en Goran Lovre graag geziene gasten. Tegenwoordig schuift Dusan Tadic regelmatig aan bij Mileski voor een goede maaltijd. Natuurlijk was Tadic aanwezig op het feest dat op traditionele Macedonische wijze werd gevierd. Luciano da Silva, Matias Jones en oud-FC Groningen spits Tim Matavz luisterden het jubileum ook op met hun komst.
Donderdag 5 april had algemeen directeur Hans Nijland even een andere functie. Want die dag was Nijland gasthoofdredacteur van het Dagblad van het Noorden. Het dagblad bestaat dit jaar tien jaar en dat werd gevierd met het uitnodigen van bekende noorderlingen die een dag gasthoofdredacteur mochten zijn. Omdat Nijland begin dit jaar de Dagblad van het Noorden prijs kreeg uitgereikt, mocht hij aanschuiven als de laatste hoofdredacteur. Nijland werd op 5 april voor lastige keuzes gesteld. Moest het nieuws rond de veroordeling van Johnny B. op de voorpagina? Of was de grote brand in Uithuizen toch belangrijker?
Komende zondag moet FC Groningen alweer aan de bak, dan om 12.30 uur thuis tegen Roda JC. FC Groningen heeft het het laatste decennia behoorlijk gedaan in thuisduels tegen Roda. Maar dat verleden telt niet meer. Feit is dat FC Groningen zich geen nederlaag kan veroorloven met het oog op plaatsing voor de playoffs. Henk Bos, Tim Sparv en Koen van de Laak gaan in op het belang van het duel van komende zondag.
