FC Groningen TV besteedt vanavond uitgebreid aandacht aan de hervatting van de competitie tegen FC Utrecht. Met Marco Bizot en Rasmus Lindgren kijkt FCG TV terug op het debuut respectievelijk rentree. Verder was VI-presentator Wilfred Genee aanwezig bij de opening van de E-Boxx in Euroborg en werden F-pupillen van diverse clubs uit het noorden gehuldigd voor hun kampioenschap.
Zondag beleefde FC Groningen een valse herstart van de competitie door in Euroborg met 2-0 te verliezen van FC Utrecht. Essent Man of the Match Andraz Kirm was een paar keer gevaarlijk met goede acties, maar slaagde er niet om te scoren. Voor keeper Marco Bizot was het eredivisiedebuut voor FC Groningen tweeslachtig. Hij was blij met zijn eerste minuten op het hoogste niveau, maar teleurgesteld over het verlies. Rasmus Lindgren baalde simpelweg. Hij vond dat hij te weinig had gebracht in zijn eerste wedstrijd voor FC Groningen na vijf jaar.
Voorafgaande aan FC Groningen – FC Utrecht werd in Euroborg de E-Boxx geopend. In deze sociëteit komen bedrijven samen die zich bezig houden met internet, media en marketing. De opening vond plaats met een speciaal forum waarin Voetbal International presentator Wilfred Genee als één van de gasten plaats nam. Voor Genee was het de tweede opening in Euroborg, na de opening van het stadion zelf op 13 januari 2006.
In de pauze van FC Groningen – FC Utrecht werden de F-teams van Middelstum, Velocitas, Geel Wit, GOMOS, Groninger Boys, Musselkanaal, Gruno en Zuidhorn gehuldigd voor hun najaarskampioenschap. De teams toonden allen vol trots de vlaggen van hun club en maakten een ereronde door Euroborg om zo de huldiging te vieren met de supporters van FC Groningen.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhaling is op EL 2 te zien om 19.00 uur en 23.00 uur. Woensdag wordt FCG TV om 08.30 uur en 13.15 uur herhaald op EL 1.
FC Groningen TV is zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV. De uitzending op de lokale omroep van Groningen begint om 15.30 uur waarna het tot 09.00 uur in de ochtend wordt herhaald.
