FC Groningen TV is vanavond aanwezig bij een chatsessie op Twitter met FC Groningen-doelman Marco Bizot. Daarnaast kijkt FCG TV met oud-FC Groningen spits Rob McDonald terug op het duel tussen FC Groningen en PSV in oktober 1985 waarin McDonald vier keer scoorde voor de Eindhovenaren. Uiteraard is er ook een voorbeschouwing op het duel tegen PSV van komende zondag.
Komende maandagavond 21 oktober kunnen fans van FC Groningen alles vragen aan Nick van der Velden via Twitter. FC Groningen keeper Marco Bizot had eerder al de primeur van de chatsessie via Twitter. Onder het genot van een kop koffie beantwoordde Bizot vragen over zijn favoriete club, zijn mooiste wedstrijd, zijn toekomst en kreeg hij de vraag of hij binnenkort met een supporter een pizza wil gaan eten.
Komende zondag ontvangt FC Groningen in Euroborg PSV. Die dag precies 28 jaar geleden speelde FC Groningen ook thuis tegen PSV. Het werd voor Rob McDonald een dag om nooit meer te vergeten. In de zomer van 1985 maakte hij na drie seizoenen FC Groningen de overstap naar PSV. Een paar maanden later keerde hij met PSV terug in zijn vertrouwde Oosterparkstadion en scoorde hij maar liefst vier keer tegen zijn oude club. Nog steeds wordt McDonald herinnert aan die vier doelpunten als hij een bezoek brengt aan de stad Groningen. FC Groningen TV keek met McDonald terug naar het duel tussen FC Groningen en PSV van 28 jaar geleden dat uiteindelijk eindigde in 1-6.
Dit seizoen is FC Groningen thuis nog ongeslagen. De FC hoopt die status zondag tegen PSV vast te houden en denkt dat ook te kunnen doen als dezelfde strijd aan de dag gelegd wordt als twee weken geleden tegen AZ. Aanvoerder Maikel Kieftenbeld laat FCG TV weten dat er scherp is getraind en dat het wat de inzet betreft wel goed lijkt te zitten. De verwachtingen bij de vaste supporters van de trainingen is ook overwegend positief. FCG TV maakte een rondje langs de fans en liep daarbij ook Fox Sports Eredivisie commentator Theo Reitsma tegen het lijf.
De reguliere uitzending van FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 17.00 uur en 00.30 uur uitgezonden op kanaal 1 van Fox Sports Eredivisie. De herhaling is te zien om 18.00 uur en 21.45 uur op kanaal 3 en om 19.00 uur op kanaal 5 van Fox Sports Eredivisie.
De afleveringen van FC Groningen TV zijn elke zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV, de lokale omroep van Groningen. De uitzendingen beginnen om 15.30 uur en zijn in een carrousel terug te zien tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
