Na de aftrapbijeenkomst in september vorig jaar en de medische bijeenkomst in november 2013, houdt het Amateurconvenant FC Groningen vanavond, woensdag 5 maart, een derde bijeenkomst. Dit keer met een maatschappelijk karakter. Gasten tijdens deze avond in Euroborg zijn onder anderen televisiepresentator Wilfred Genee, Edu Jansing van de Stichting Meer dan Voetbal en makelaar John Schokker.
Amateurclubs hebben een belangrijke maatschappelijke rol in de samenleving. De bijeenkomst voor (jeugd)bestuursleden van amateurclubs zal onder meer antwoord geven op de vraag hoe clubs invulling kunnen geven aan deze maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid. Het thema van de bijeenkomst is: ‘De veranderde maatschappij: wat zijn de kansen en bedreigingen voor uw club?’ Gezonde voeding Presentator en columnist Wilfred Genee maakt zich sterk voor gezonde voeding in de voetbalkantine. Daarnaast komt Makelaar John Schokker aan het woord, die zal ingaan op welke wijze de WOZ-beschikking van de gemeente invloed heeft op voetbalclubs. Vaak betalen verenigingen te veel belasting maar als ze niets betalen, dan zit een club ook in de problemen. Schokker legt uit wat clubs kunnen doen om geld en problemen te besparen.
Vervolgens worden diverse gasten geïnterviewd over maatschappelijke thema’s, onder wie Edu Jansing van de Stichting Meer dan Voetbal, waarna de verenigingen aan tafel met elkaar in gesprek kunnen over de kansen en bedreigingen voor hun eigen club.
