Jong FC Groningen begint vanavond aan de competitie tegen Jong FC Volendam. De wedstrijd begint om 18.30 uur en wordt gespeeld op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. De toegang is uiteraard gratis.
Trainer Dick Lukkien begint aan de competitie in de nieuwe opzet met een thuiswedstrijd tegen Jong FC Volendam. Na een halve competitie met zeven wedstrijden per club, zullen vier van de acht ploegen zich plaatsen voor de Eredivisie, die in oktober van start gaat met twaalf ploegen. De overige twaalf ploegen zullen in de Eerste Divisie verder spelen. Het bekertoernooi is vervallen in verband met de volle kalender.
Bij FC Groningen zullen vanavond onder anderen zeven spelers uit de A-kern hun opwachting maken: Henk Bos, Matias Jones, Tom Hiariej, Tim Keurntjes, Jonas Ivens, Suk Hyun-Jun en Michael de Leeuw. Het duel staat vanavond onder leiding van scheidsrechter Daan Schaper en wordt gespeeld op het hoofdveld van GRC op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Aftrap is om 18.30 uur. Toegang is gratis.
