Jong FC Groningen gaat vanavond in Enschede proberen te voorkomen dat Jong FC Twente kampioen wordt in eigen huis. De ploeg van trainer Dick Lukkien treedt om 18.30 uur aan met een jong team.
Vanuit de eerste selectie doet vanavond in Enschede alleen Matias Jones mee bij Jong FC Groningen, dat momenteel zesde staat op de ranglijst van de Beloften Eredivisie.
Trainer Dick Lukkien wil met zijn ploeg in de laatste drie wedstrijden nog minimaal zeven punten halen om het puntentotaal (45) van het vorige seizoen te evenaren.
De Tukkers zijn nog drie punten verwijderd van het kampioenschap in de Eredivisie en pakken bij winst de titel. Eerder dit seizoen eindigde de heenwedstrijd in een 3-2 zege voor Jong FC Twente, dat wordt getraind en gecoacht door Patrick Kluivert.
