Jong FC Groningen heeft maandagavond in Nijmegen met 3-0 gewonnen van Jong NEC/FC Oss. De ploeg van trainer Dick Lukkien stond bij rust al 0-2 voor en staat na de zege nog altijd tweede op de ranglijst.
Bij FC Groningen moest de zieke Paco van Moorsel vanmiddag afhaken. Daardoor was er een basisplaats weggelegd voor Burak Saban, in een team dat naast deze A-junior bestond uit vier spelers uit de B-kern en zes leden van de eerste selectie.
Het waren die van de zes profs die de productie in Nijmegen voor hun rekening namen. David Texeira opende na een kwartier spelen de score op aangeven van Mitchell Schet. Na ruim een halfuur maakte Henk Bos de tweede treffer uit een vrije trap. Tien minuten na de rust bepaalde Filip Kostic op aangeven van Timo Letschert de eindstand op 0-3.
Door de zege is de ploeg van trainer Dick Lukkien nog altijd tweede op de ranglijst, achter koploper Jong sc Heerenveen, dat op dinsdag 2 april aanstaande de volgende tegenstander is op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Lukkien vond dat de score te laag was uitgevallen tegen hekkensluiter Jong NEC/FC Oss en sprak van een ‘magere afspiegeling van de krachtsverhouding’.
