FC Groningen TV heeft vanavond een reportage met oud-speler Fandi Ahmad die de afgelopen week terug was in Groningen. Daarnaast is er een vooruitblik op de wedstrijd van zondag tegen AZ.
Afgelopen week was Fandi Ahmad na bijna acht jaar weer terug in Groningen. De oud-speler uit Singapore die tussen 1983 en 1985 voor FC Groningen speelde, was samen met zijn zoons Irfan en Ikshan naar Groningen gekomen. Terwijl Irfan en Ikshan stage liepen bij FC Groningen onder 23, ontmoette Fandi vooral veel oude bekenden. Ook rond de thuiswedstrijd tegen PEC Zwolle was het een weerzien met oud-ploeggenoten en supporters die de Cruijff uit het Oosten in de jaren tachtig zagen spelen. FCG TV volgde Fandi afgelopen zondag en kreeg hem zo ver om te zingen in het supportershome van FC Groningen.
Verder vertellen Gerard Kemkers en Hans Nijland waarom Kemkers en FC Groningen na de opening van het TopsportZorgCentrum niet met elkaar verder gaan, is er een terugblik op de eerste overwinning van 2018 met Juninho Bacuna en een vooruitblik op de uitwedstrijd van zondag tegen AZ met Sergio Padt.
