De onder-16 ploeg van FC Groningen/Cambuur komt deze week in actie op het UVS-toernooi in Leiden.
Dit TOP jeugdtoernooi wordt voor de eerste maal gehouden op sportpark De Kikkerpolder en wordt georganiseerd in samenwerking met FC Twente. In totaal zijn acht teams present waaronder de ploeg van trainer Peter Hoekstra. In de poulefase speelt FCG tegen achtereenvolgens PSV B2 (10.35 uur), JVOZ B1 (1.10 uur) en FC Utrecht B2 (13.30 uur). Later in de middag volgen de finalewedstrijden.
Vandaag zijn ook de overige teams van de RVO aan de voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen begonnen. Morgen wordt een tweetal oefenduels gespeeld. FCG B1 speelt om 10.30 uur op Corpus den Hoorn tegen FC Zwolle B1. In Assen is LTC de tegenstander van FCG A1. dat duel vangt om 19.00 uur aan.
