Oluwafemi Ajilore is door de Nigeriaanse bond uitgenodigd voor de WK-kwalificatiewedstrijd op 6 september in zijn vaderland tegen Tunesië. Sepp De Roover behoort tot de voorselectie voor België in de komende interlandperiode.
Ajilore meldt zich op maandag 31 augustus in Abuja en speelt op zondagavond 6 september om 18.00 uur de wedstrijd Nigeria-Tunesië. In groep B van de Afrikaanse kwalificatiezone heeft Nigeria de kans het WK-ticket te bemachtigen nog geheel in eigen hand. Als gewonnen wordt van koploper Tunesië volstaan zeges op Mozambique (thuis, 10 oktober) en Kenia (uit, 14 oktober) om het eindtoernooi te bereiken.
De Roover behoort tot de voorselectie voor een tweetal uitwedstrijden in de WK-kwalificatiecyclus. Op zaterdag 5 september wordt om 22.00 uur afgetrapt in het Spaanse La Coruña. Vier dagen later is in Armenië de aftrap om 21.00 uur tegen de Rode Duivels. Spanje is de ongeslagen koploper met 18 punten uit zes duels. Armenië heeft één punt. België verzamelde tot dusver 7 wedstrijdpunten.
