Oluwafemi Ajilore is voor drie duels geschorst plus een duel voorwaardelijk met een proeftijd van één jaar. De club accepteerde een schikkingsvoorstel van de aanklager van de KNVB.
Arbiter Bas Nijhuis en zijn assistent Droste verklaarden niet waargenomen te hebben dat de Nigeriaan afgelopen zaterdag een elleboogstoot uitdeelde aan Kemy Agustien van RKC Waalwijk. Deze beweging werd op tv-beelden wel geregistreerd.
Op basis van een vooronderzoek en de verklaringen besloot de aanklager betaald voetbal een voorstel te doen voor een schorsing van vier duels waarvan één voorwaardelijk met een proeftijd van één jaar. Dit voorstel werd dinsdagmiddag geaccepteerd. Hierdoor is Ajilore pas op zondag 20 december van de partij. Dan speelt de FC thuis tegen SC Heerenveen.
Komende zondag in de thuiswedstrijd tegen NEC moet trainer Ron Jans ook de geschorsten Andreas Granqvist en Luciano da Silva missen. Daarnaast is het kwartet Petter Andersson, Ondrej Svejdik, Jeffrey Rijsdijk en Morten Nordstrand niet inzetbaar wegens blessures.
