In FC Groningen TV op Eredivisie Live 2 is vanavond veel aandacht voor FC Groningen/Cambuur A1. De ploeg van trainer Paul Raveneau deed afgelopen paasweekend mee aan een internationaal toernooi in het Duitse Lingen en wist deze winnend af te sluiten.
FC Groningen/Cambuur A1 eindigde als tweede in de poule en wist zondag in de halve finale met 2-0 te winnen van het Poolse Piast Gliwice. In de eindstrijd tegen de thuisploeg SV Olympia Laxten keek FC Groningen A1 lange tijd tegen een 1-0 achterstand. Maar de gelijkmaker van invaller Hans Hateboer in de laatste seconde zorgde ervoor dat strafschoppen de beslissing moesten brengen. Daarin bleek de FC veel te sterk. De beslissende penalty werd benut door een andere invaller, Tim Posthuma. Voor Posthuma was het een bijzonder moment omdat hij tijdens het toernooi zijn rentree maakte na negen maanden blessureleed.
Donderdagavond vervolgt FC Groningen de competitie met een uitwedstrijd tegen ADO Den Haag. De FC presteert over het algemeen goed in Den Haag maar de laatste wedstrijd, vorig seizoen in de finale van de play-offs, werd met maar liefst 5-1 verloren. De van een blessure herstelde Jonas Ivens hoopt dat FC Groningen door middel van een goede teamprestatie deze keer weer met een positief resultaat huiswaarts gaat.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 2. De herhaling is te zien op Eredivisie Live 2 om 20.00 uur en 22.00 uur. Woensdag wordt FC Groningen TV om 07.55 uur en 12.30 uur herhaald op EL 1.
