Afgelopen vrijdag hebben de spelers en begeleiding van de Regionale Voetbalopleiding (RVO) FC Groningen A1 en B1 hun intrek genomen in accommodatie ‘Seven Hills’ in Groesbeek voor een trainingskamp van een week. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van het schitterende sportcomplex van ‘De Treffers’ voor het voetbaldeel in deze week.
Onder leiding van de trainers Paul Raveneau en Peter Molmaker werd er op vrijdagmiddag direct na aankomst eerst getraind. De beide teams beschikken gedurende het trainingskamp over een ‘eigen’ veld waarop zowel de trainingen als ook de wedstrijden worden gespeeld.
Op zaterdag was PSV de tegenstander van B1 (2-0 verlies) en daarna mocht A1 (6-0 winst) het opnemen tegen de ‘onder 19’ van De Treffers. Bijna alle spelers kwamen aan bod in deze wedstrijden. Daarbij opgemerkt dat maar liefst vijf A1 spelers bij Jong FC Groningen deelnamen op het toernooi in Pijnacker. Lees elders een kort verslag hierover.
Vandaag (woensdag) werden nog twee wedstrijden gespeeld. A1 verloor nipt met 2-3 van Botafogo uit Brazilie. B1 werkte een duel af tegen de leeftijdsgenoten van De Treffers en won met 3-0. Donderdag vertrekken de teams weer naar huis.
Overige uitslagen afgelopen weekend: FC Zwolle C1 – FC Groningen C1 0-1, FC Groningen C2 – FC Omniworld C2 7-0, FC Omniworld D1 – FC Groningen D1 0-1, FC Groningen D2 – FC Zwolle D1 1-2.
