Morgen spelen drie jeugdteams van FC Groningen/Cambuur hun wedstrijd op sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Voor FCG D3 betreft dit een “uitwedstrijd” aangezien GRC Groningen D1 de tegenstander is. Eerder dit seizoen verloor de ploeg van trainer Peter Hoekstra zowel voor de competitie als voor de beker van de terreingenoot.
Vervolgens neemt FCG C3 het in de voorjaarscompetitie op tegen Sparta Rotterdam C2. De onder-14 ploeg van de FC is als enige nog zonder zege. Met het duel van FCG A1 tegen FC Utrecht A1 wordt de voetbalzaterdag afgesloten. In de afgelopen twee duels deed de ploeg van trainer Paul Raveneau zeer goede zaken en wist het zowel Sparta Rotterdam A1 als VA FC Twente A1 aan de kant te zetten. Mocht het vlaggenschip opnieuw met winst van het veld stappen dan is lijfsbehoud wel heel erg dichtbij.
Voor de B-junioren van FCG breken wel heel spannende weken aan. Na de nederlaag van vorige week tegen Feyenoord/Excelsior B1 is de ploeg onder de degradatiestreep beland. De groen-witte formatie mag het nu gaan opnemen tegen titelkandidaat Ajax. FCG C1, dat volgende week vrijdag naar Dallas (USA) vertrekt, gaat op bezoek bij AFC C1 terwijl FCG D1 op Skoatterwald de derby tegen Heerenveen/Emmen D1 afwerkt.
