Morgen spelen drie teams van FC Groningen/Cambuur een bekerwedstrijd. Op Corpus den Hoorn komt FCG A1 in actie tegen Heerenveen/Emmen A1. Vorig weekeinde startte de ploeg van trainer Paul Raveneau de poulefase van de Nike Cup met een 2-2 gelijkspel in en tegen Volendam. In het andere duel zette H’veen/Emmen met een 3-0 score eenvoudig de B2 van Ajax opzij. In de competitie kenden beide teams echter een valste start. FCG verloor thuis van VA FC Twente terwijl AZ te sterk bleek voor H’veen/Emmen.
De B-junioren van FCG spelen hun tweede poulewedstrijd in en tegen Zwolle. Vorige week werd het eerste duel tegen Emmen av met speels gemak gewonnen. Voor de C-junioren geldt nu ook dat er gestreden gaat worden om een landelijke beker. Ook hier moeten echter eerst groepsduels worden afgewerkt. H’veen/Emmen C2 is de eerste tegenstander van de FC.
In Norg speelt FCG D1 op het jaarlijkse toernooi om de Martin Koeman Bokaal. Een dag later is FCG D3 present op het Bosma & Schuur toernooi in Sappemeer. FCG C3 oefent tenslotte in Amsterdam tegen Ajax C2.
