Samen met haar partners en Founded in Groningen organiseert FC Groningen STARTUP-GRO. Gericht op start-ups in Noord-Nederland. De vijf start-ups die zich hebben gekwalificeerd voor het programma maken kennis met het zakelijke netwerk van FC Groningen. In deze tweede aflevering met ondernemer Terence van der Sluis vertelt de founder van Finative over zijn persoonlijke groei als startend ondernemer.
Finative is een software ontwikkelingsbedrijf, maar focust zich met name op Streamline. Een tool ontwikkeld door Finative en te gebruiken bij Microsoft Teams overleggen waardoor 30% tijd kan worden bespaard bij vergaderingen.
Van der Sluis is een ondernemer die graag dingen zelf uitprobeert en pioniert. Ik ben niet heel bang om zelf dingen aan te pakken, dat is soms ook een valkuil. Ik ben gestructureerd in mijn werk en zorg altijd dat alles goed is bijgehouden. Wanneer je op deze wijze werkt, kun je de productiviteit goed meten.”
Een startend ondernemer leert iedere dag weer bij. Dat geldt ook voor de founder van Finative. “De meest waardevolle les voor mezelf was om te accepteren dat het niet altijd iedere week minimaal 100% energie kan zijn. Ik ben daarin vaak best kritisch naar mezelf geweest.”
Van der Sluis heeft zijn doelen goed in het oog. “Ik weet duidelijk wat mijn doelen zijn, op korte, middellange en lange termijn. Die doelen jaag ik na. We hebben echt gave dingen bereik, waarbij ik ook persoonlijk ben gegroeid. En ik heb alweer nieuwe doelen.”
