Vier thuiswedstrijden bij competitiestart Opleiding.

De meeste selecties in de Opleiding spelen aankomend weekend de eerste competitiewedstrijd van het seizoen. Vier teams spelen thuis op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Voor FC Groningen onder-12 begint de competitie vanavond (woensdag) al met een uitwedstrijd tegen FC Emmen.
De drie oudste lichtingen van de FC Groningen Opleiding spelen een thuiswedstrijd op zaterdag 2 september. FC Groningen onder-21 ontvangt Go Ahead Eagles. De ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Sander van Gessel trapt om 14.00 uur af op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Afgelopen weekend speelden beide ploegen ook tegen elkaar in het bekertoernooi. FC Groningen won het thuisduel met 4-1 en bekerde verder.
FC Groningen onder-18 begint de competitie op datzelfde tijdstip, 14.00 uur, met een thuiswedstrijd tegen sc Heerenveen. Beide ploegen troffen elkaar vorige week in Friesland in het bekertoernooi. Toen eindigde de Derby van het Noorden in 3-3 en ging de FC door na strafschoppen.
FC Groningen onder-16 begint de competitie zaterdag om 12.00 uur met de thuiswedstrijd tegen N.E.C. Een uur eerder wordt de voetbalzaterdag op Corpus den Hoorn afgetrapt door FC Groningen onder-14. De ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Jeroen Scholma speelt tegen AFC’34.
De meiden van FC Groningen Meiden-onder-16 trapt de competitie zaterdagmiddag om 15.15 uur af op bezoek bij Lewenborg Jongens-onder-15. FC Groningen onder-13 speelt vrijdagmiddag 1 september uit tegen De Graafschap, aftrap 17.00 uur. De jongste lichting, FC Groningen onder-12 speelt woensdagavond om 18.30 uur uit bij FC Emmen. De selectie van FC Groningen onder-15 start de competitie pas op zaterdag 23 september.
