Komende zaterdag staan er diverse bekerwedstrijden op het programma voor teams uit de Opleiding. Er wordt in verschillende leeftijdscategorieën gespeeld in de achtste finales, met veel wedstrijden op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. FC Groningen onder-21, Onder-18, Onder-16 en Onder-13 spelen thuis. Groningen onder-14 speelt op de Oude Meerdijk tegen FC Emmen onder-14.
Onder-21 Na een ruime 4-1 zege op NAC Breda kan de ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Sander van Gessel zich aankomende zaterdag opmaken voor een bekerduel met ADO Den Haag. In de competitie kwam FC Groningen onder-21 de Hagenezen ook al eens tegen. Dit eindigde in een 1-0 winst voor De Trots van het Noorden. Komende zaterdag wordt de wedstrijd afgetrapt om 14.00 uur op Corpus den Hoorn.
Onder-18 FC Groningen onder-18 neemt het in de achtste finales van het bekertoernooi op tegen AZ. De Alkmaarders komen in de competitie uit in Divisie 1. Een mooie uitdaging voor de ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Melchior Schoenmakers. De wedstrijd wordt om 12.30 uur afgetrapt op Corpus den Hoorn.
Onder-16 Na een 0-1 winst op de Oude Meerdijk mag FC Groningen onder-16 het zaterdag in de beker opnemen tegen ADO Den Haag. De ploeg uit Den Haag komt uit in Divisie 2. De ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Björn Zwikker trapt om 13.00 uur af op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn.
Onderbouw
FC Groningen onder-14 speelt s ’ochtends een bekerwedstrijd op de Oude Meerdijk tegen FC Emmen, aftrap om 11.00 uur. FC Groningen onder-13 speelt ook om 11.00 uur tegen Feyenoord. De Rotterdammers komen naar Corpus den Hoorn om te strijden in de bekercompetitie.
