De opleidingsteams van FC Groningen hervatten zaterdag na een korte winterstop de competitie. FC Groningen onder-21 gaat voor reist af naar Rotterdam voor een duel met Feyenoord, terwijl FC Groningen onder-18 op bezoek gaat bij FC Den Bosch. FC Groningen onder-16 speelt thuis op Corpus tegen PEC Zwolle.
FC Groningen onder-21 werd in het najaar tweede in Divisie 1, op vier punten van koploper PEC. In deze najaarscompetitie verloor de ploeg slechts één keer, op de eerste speelronde, tegen Feyenoord. Op Varkenoord ging Onder-21 er met 5-0 af. Deze zaterdag is er een mogelijkheid op revanche, als het team wederom op bezoek gaat bij Feyenoord. Aftrap: 15.00 uur.
Onder-18 FC Groningen onder-18 eindigde als derde van Divisie 2 in de najaarscompetitie. Komende zaterdag speelt het tegen promovendus en tevens de kampioen van Divisie 3: FC Den Bosch. Om 15.00 uur wordt er afgetrapt in het stadion van de Bosschenaren, De Vliert.
Onder-16 FC Groningen onder-16 speelt als enige een thuiswedstrijd bij de hervatting van het seizoen. De ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Björn Zwikker wist zich in het najaar als nummer zes te handhaven in Divisie 3, en ontvangt zaterdag PEC Zwolle op Corpus. De wedstrijd begint om 14.30 uur.
Onderbouw FC Groningen onder-14 gaat op bezoek in Hengelo, waar het om 12.30 uur tegen de FC Twente/Heracles Academie speelt. Onder-12 speelt ook een uitwedstrijd, tegen FC Volendam. Het duel in het vissersdorp begint om 12.00 uur. FC Groningen onder-13 speelt geen competitiewedstrijd deze zaterdag. Dat team komt komend weekend in actie op Eurocup Delfzijl.
