Maar liefst vier Opleidingsteams van FC Groningen spelen komende zaterdag een thuiswedstrijd op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Dit geldt zowel voor de twee oudste teams (Onder-21 en Onder-18) als voor FC Groningen onder-12 en Onder-14.
FC Groningen onder-21 wist afgelopen weekend weer te winnen. Feyenoord moest met 2-3 het hoofd buigen voor de ploeg van trainer/coach/manager Sander van Gessel. Zo werkt het laatstgenoemde team gestaag door aan de reeks van inmiddels 14 ongeslagen competitiewedstrijden. Komende zaterdag hoopt de ploeg om 14.30 uur de ongeslagen reeks weer te verlengen tegen de FC Twente/Heracles Academie. De wedstrijd is gratis te bezoeken op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn.
Onder-18 FC Groningen onder-18 begon goed aan de voorjaarscompetitie. FC Den Bosch ging met 2-3 over de knie. Komende zaterdag wacht NAC Breda op Corpus. De ploeg uit Noord-Brabant verloor op de eerste speelronde van Vitesse. De aftrap van het duel is om 12.30 uur.
Onder-16 FC Groningen onder-16 speelde afgelopen weekend doelpuntloos gelijk op Corpus tegen PEC Zwolle. Wellicht volgen de doelpunten wel op Sportpark Kalverdijkje, waar Onder-16 komende zaterdag om 14.30 uur tegen SC Cambuur speelt.
Onderbouw FC Groningen onder-14 en Onder-12 spelen zaterdag thuis op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn. Onder-12 ontvangt om 10.00 uur FC Emmen, terwijl Onder-14 om 12.30 uur mag aantreden tegen Excelsior. FC Groningen onder-13 heeft voor de eerste competitiewedstrijd van het voorjaar direct een lange reis voor de boeg: om 13.00 uur speelt het in het Limburgse Geleen tegen Fortuna Sittard.
