Jismerai Dillema tekent eerste contract bij FC Groningen.

Jismerai Dillema tekende onlangs zijn eerste profcontract bij FC Groningen. De 16-jarige stadjer speelt op het middenveld bij FC Groningen onder-16. Dillema zette zijn handtekening onder een contract tot medio 2026. De Groninger begon met voetballen bij GRC op Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn en doorliep daarna de gehele Opleiding van de FC.
De jonge middenvelder kan op meerdere posities uit de voeten en werd afgelopen seizoen al eens genomineerd voor de eretitel Strijder van het Jaar. Hij zette zijn ontwikkeling door en werd tevens opgeroepen voor de dubbele interland tegen Oostenrijk, met het Future team van het Nederlands elftal Onder 16.
Hoofd jeugdscouting Arno de Jong vindt dat de middenvelder het tekenmoment moet zien als een beloning en stimulans om zich de komende jaren binnen de Opleiding te blijven door ontwikkelen.
“Jismerai heeft zich de laatste seizoenen zeer goed ontwikkeld. Hij is talentvol op het veld, is leergierig en weet wat er nodig is om te ontwikkelen en presteren. Met dit contract spreken we het vertrouwen in hem uit om samen weer nieuwe stappen voorwaarts te zetten in de komende jaren. We zijn blij dat het vertrouwen wederzijds is. Het uiteindelijke doel is om het eerste van FC Groningen te halen en straks in Euroborg te spelen. Alle trainers en specialisten binnen de Opleiding gaan hem zo goed mogelijk begeleiden om dit gezamenlijke doel te behalen.”
De voetballer zelf heeft één groot eerste doel: “Ik wil debuteren in Euroborg en moet mezelf de komende jaren blijven ontwikkelen. Ik moet fysiek sterker worden en zal elke dag hard blijven werken. Iedere dag wil ik weer beter zijn dan de dag ervoor.”
